Going Digital

Fantastic Digital is a blog that gives insight on urban culture, and on occasion, the personal life of Shy Fantastic - the 19-year-old Ohioan who posses many talents, speaks her mind, has an array of interest, and doesn't blog about fashion. She is a culture-life blogger, so to speak. Her blog highlights photography, art, culture, design, architecture, food, good music, toys/gadgets, life and women.

Rihanna x KAWS

So, I stumbled across this randomly - honestly, this has to be one of the dopest works of art I've seen in a very long time. But let me note, this is strictly art - not an offical collaboration of any kind. This is amazing, and no, I'm not just saying that because I'm madly in love with Rihanna or anything, but simply because it shows her in a rude yet angelic way. Very classic, the KAWS top it off. Just, beautiful.

P.S. Say Hello to the new background on my MacBook Pro. :)

Be@utybrick Hair Art Studio

Be@utybrick Hair Art Studio at Unit 103 Dona Consolasion Bldg. 122 Jupiter St. Bel-Air, Makati (Tel.02.473.5108 / 0917.520.0044). The young Korean stylist, Mr. Shin, is back! The former Ark Salon stylist has started his own "Hair Art Studio." If you have a Be@rbrick fetish, addiction or a slight collection, this is a really cool discovery.

The salon offers Digiperms. Digital perming or "hot" perming is a curling technique that originated in Japan and has since become increasingly popular worldwide. Although the chemicals used are very similar, unlike a traditional perm, digital curls are most prominent when dry, which obviates the need for heat styling, and the curls produced using a digital perm are larger and softer, which is more in keeping with current hair trends. If you want big, glam curls, for cheap - I'm talking dirt cheap ($12 cheap), Be@utybrick is the place to go (a Digiperm typically runs upward of $200). Style and art, together, cheap - a rare find.

Lil Wayne Writes First Letter To Fans

Lil Wayne had a website created for the sole purpose of responding to fanmail. WeezyThanxYou.com features the full letter, but here is a small excerpt:

"Love. Live. Life. Proceed. Progress. That’s who I am and who I’ll always be. You see, we’re all living on borrowed time, so I’m not worried about this situation. Life happens quick. The more time you spend contemplating what you should have done…you lose valuable time planning what you can and will do. Trying to tear down the past prohibits you from building up your future. So for my time here, my physical will be confined to the yard. My love and my spirit, however, know no boundaries."

I've always found Lil Wayne to be a very humble man with a lot of talent, he responds to a few fans personally though his fanmail site and tries his best to read all of the letters sent to him. That's love.

Visual Attraction: Coco & Breezy

Since it's my first week posting my Kanye inspired "Visual Attraction," I figured I'd give you a bang for your view. Twins. Pictured above are the 19-year-old beautiful fashion-forward identical twins, Coco & Breezy, who launched their own designer eyewear and accessories line, Gemela Amor. Two girls on one mission. I know, I'm not supposed to blog about fashion, but I have to give a little background on these girls. Coco & Breezy's Gemela Amor Eyewear are on the rise, the glasses been pictured on Amber Rose, Nicki Minaj, 106 & Park's Rocsi (bracelet) and Kelly Osbourne, just to name a few. I would suggest that you get them now, while they're still reasonably priced, because as you know, supply and demand does take effect people. They're currently retailing between $60-$195 and are available for purchase at CocoandBreezy.com.

Rooftop Mini-Golf Course Home

Pictured below is a house in Igualada, Spain, it was constructed in 2003 and is 200 sqm.

The house is theoretically speaking, "half off the ground." The home was built with continuous steel tube fitting into the soil. Steel tube covered with aluminum panels flies over the trees. This home also features a rooftop mini-golf course.

The inside of the home has both wood and granite floors. You will spot glass windows and structures throughout the home.

The second floor of this home is small, and leveled with the mini-golf course. All in all, great architecture, great minds, beautiful construction.

Diggy Simmons: Made You Look Freestyle (Flow Stoopid)

I know, I know. This has been posted a million times over, but I can understand the reason why! Diggy Simmons, the 15-year-old rapper and son of Run DMC's Rev. Run kills it with a freestyle over Nas' "Made You Look" directed by PhilTheGod.

"The flow I cater is something major an indicator of what happens later. It's grater than you anticipated. Some people love it, the way I does it. That's why a nigga buzzing, cause they callin me sick something like Robitussin." Need I say more? This young man has a lot of talent. Just at the young age of 15, Diggy has been signed to Atlantic Records. The video speaks for itself so I'll end this post with an mp3 download & a quote from Diggy's freestyle, "Part of the problem is it's all about the politics and most of what they post up on the blogs aint even hot as this."

LEGO Goes Digital

LEGO Digital Camera
LEGO partnered up with Digital Blue to deliver a line of electronic devices. This one caught my eye. It features a 3MP camera, 1.5" LCD display, 128MB internal memory card, fixed focus and digital zoom. The camera gives the actual look and feel of real LEGO's. The camera retails for $49.99, not too expensive for a cool look. It is available online for purchase at Toys "R" Us.

On the market, as far as electronics, LEGO also has a Stop Animation Camera (video recorder), Walkie Talkies, Clock Radio and an MP3 Player. These are all really cook gadgets for kids (or for adults in my eyes).
